QT Manufacturing Earns ISO9001:2008 AS9100 Certification

Dallas, Texas — November 8, 2016 — Dallas, Texas-based QT Manufacturing has received AS9100 certification. The certificate was specifically awarded for the company’s “injection molding, tooling, CNC machining and prototype solutions.” QT Manufacturing received the certificate from a division of SAI Global on October 26, 2016, and the certificate is good for nearly two years, until September 14, 2018. The certification guarantees QT Manufacturing’s quality management system meets all international requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100.

The ISO9001:2008 requirements show QT Manufacturing is able to consistently provide products that meet customer expectations and applicable regulatory requirements, and the company is constantly striving to improve.

The AS9100 portion of the certification is a testament to QT Manufacturing’s attention to detail in CNC machining and other operations. This is a certification awarded to companies that produce components for use in the aerospace industry, where there is no room for error. To earn this certification, QT Manufacturing had to show it regularly produces pieces to the demanding standards flight in air and space requires, even though parts and prototypes might not be used in airplanes or space shuttles.

For the team at QT Manufacturing, the company’s new certification is a source of both pride and new opportunities. Since 1990, QT Manufacturing has been building parts and prototypes to the most exacting standards, and the company now has achieved one of the highest certifications possible because of everyone’s hard and consistent work. With the certification, the company is able to pursue new contracts and clients, specifically ones who need AS9100-certified parts. QT Manufacturing is excited to be able to work with new clients, as well as the company’s longstanding ones.

QT Manufacturing is based in Dallas, Texas, where the company provides injection molding, tooling, CNC machining and prototype solutions.

QT Manufacturing has contracted with TMAC (formally Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center) to provide consulting services in support of their efforts designing and implementing an AS9100C Quality Management System at their manufacturing facility in Dallas, TX. The project is slated to complete no later than October 2016.
