QT Manufacturing Earns ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 rev D Certification
Dallas, TX – Mar. 20, 2018 – Texas-based QT Manufacturing has successfully complied with the ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 rev D standards certification. This certificate, distributed by a division of SAI Global on March 20, 2018, was specifically awarded for the company’s Quality Management System. Until the certification’s expiration on October 25, 2019, QT Manufacturing guarantees its quality management system meets international requirements for the ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 rev D.
The ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 rev D certification was earned by QT Manufacturing’s quality management system’s ability to meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. It also indicates our company’s commitment to enhance customer satisfaction.
The earned AS9100 rev D certification demonstrates the Quality Management System’s adherence to high level detail in its procedures and operations. Specific to companies that produce aerospace components, where there is no room for error, AS9100 rev D requires applicants to show they regularly manufacture components to the demanding standards.
Prior to this most recent certification, QT Manufacturing earned the ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 Rev C certification. This new Rev D certification, however, is more stringent than the last. AS9100 rev D expounds on many of its original concepts and adds in new requirements pertaining to counterfeit parts and product safety for aviation, space and defense organizations. In addition, the concept of risk is much more prevalent. ISO 9001:2015 emphasizes risk-based thinking is essential in all aspects of planning and executing the quality management system.
